Strategy[]
Even though Cereberus stats look really good at first, he has one big problem holding him down. His element-combination is pretty disastrous. Having an extensive weakness against Water is what is holding this guy back.
This results in other damage dealers, like Flamator or Rexathor, simply outperforming him both offensively as well as defensively. Though he may look cool and be a nice addition to your team, there are other minions simply doing his job better without having this huge weakness. Don't forget that water moves are a very common occurance, so if you pick this guy up, be prepared to randomly get OHKO'd at times.
The following contribution is by Txpot.
Overview
Old texts and scriptures tell of a way to summon a Cerberus, a legendary three-headed beast that essentially guards the gates of hell with stoic intent. Because the realm around the Tower of Sages is different to our world, what was actually summoned was a creature born from a strange combination of bat and dog. With a high speed stat and an insanely high attack stat that is only beaten by Kel'Tuzar and Sobek, this form of Cerberus proves that mixing speed with power will always be a winning combination.
Though its weaknesses of Earth, Holy, and double-weakness to Water will send this beast back to the gates of hell, what will permanently keep it there is the quality of its skill trees: Unless you invest in multiple skill trees, Cerberus' potential will be essentially summarized by reliable attacks that are weak, strong attacks that have a combination of cooldown and exhaustion, and stat buffs that are otherwise inaccessible without committing to a specific tree at the time of selecting skills..
Strategy
It's a shame that Cerberus has such terrible skill trees that its attack is not being used to good effect.
NOTE: Numbers in brackets are the number of skill points needed to invest in those skills. All numbers are for a minion at Level 60, with the total amount of skill points being 17, with one point used to access a tree.
DEMONIC BUILD (5% Affinity in Speed or Attack):
You don't use this build for its Demonic attacks, but for its attack boosters. You can then select either of Inferno Strike/White Heat/Rock Blast for coverage while choosing Scorch.
Demonic:
Ferocity 1-5 (4)
Vicious 1-3 (3)
Reckless Dash > Desperate Barrage (3)
Fire:
Sear > Scorch (2)
Notes[]
- Cerberus' size and resemblance in both name and appearance to a mythological creature (the Greek Cerberus), plus its powerful moves, suggest (hypothetically) that it may have been intended to be a Titan at some point during the development of Min Hero.
