Strategy[]

The following contribution is by Txpot and Migan.

Overview

Tigertan is one of the two starter minions you get from the Grand Sage. It's a balance between power, speed, and bulk. Its varied skill trees grant the spunky tiger the ability to perform almost any role, and it even sports above-average stats all around to help, with speed being especially high.

Though its Normal typing grants it few weaknesses to the uncommon Undead and Demonic moves, its biggest flaws are...actually, it's hard to say. Even as an early-game minion, it gets a lot of benefits that other early minions don't: Its stats are good enough that it can last you even until the Grand Sage, its varied skill trees grants the player a wealth of play-styles to try out (though the buffing/debuffing skills require a ridiculous amount of points to attain), and even though its coverage to other types are horrendous, this also encourages the player to get a variety of creatures early on.

So, Tigertan is an early minion that isn't bad. Even if you find a better Normal-type, you can be proud that Tigertan had lasted long enough on your team to be worth the investment.

Strategy

Even though you can select what affinity they have at the start of the game, unlike Tazorback, you can get multiple Tigertans. Keep this in mind if you have regrets on what you chose to work with when using it.

NOTE: Numbers in brackets are the number of skill points needed to invest in those skills. All numbers are for a minion at Level 60, with the total amount of skill points being 17, with one point used to access a tree.

SPEED BUILD (5% Affinity in Speed or Attack):

A fast build that aims to hit hard with Thrash. White Heat may also be used over Thrash when battling Plant, Robot or Undead Minions.

GUARD BUILD (5% Affinity in Health):

As the name implies, this build is supposed to be a tank. Directed Earth or Destabilize can either give 3 of your minions an armor buff or try to slow down the entire enemy team, respectively.
